PasMon is NORSAR’s advanced solution for real-time passive seismic monitoring, designed to deliver fast, robust, and scalable detection and localization of microseismic events. Built for modern large-scale sensor networks, PasMon transforms continuous seismic data streams into actionable insights—helping operators monitor subsurface activity with high confidence, even in challenging environments.
Real-Time Insights from Passive Seismic Data
PasMon continuously processes data from passive seismic sensor networks and provides:

The system is designed to handle large deployments and is already in operation with more than 4,000 sensors, with scalable CPU/GPU-based performance.

PasMon replaces this with a stacking-based methodology, which:
- Exploits signal coherency across sensors
- Integrates energy along precomputed travel-time curves
