Export horizons
Horizons can be exported as:
- N2D internal format: use the Data Import/Export module. The I/O Fortran subroutine smhzrw.f can be used to convert from the N2D format into your own format. (The subroutine smhzrw.f is located under <installation_path>/aux/source/ )
-
Export property samples
Property samples can be exported as:
- N2D internal format: use the Data Import/Export module. The I/O Fortran subroutine smmprw.f can be used to convert from the N2D format into your own format. (The subroutine smmprw.f is located under <installation_path>/aux/source/ )

Export SMIF
A complete N2D model can be exported as a .Smif file, i.e., a Seismic Model Interchange File (use N2D>File>Export>SMIF Generator). This file is ASCII and contains both geometry and property information. Contact us if you want us to help you building a subroutine to convert the .Smif files into your own model files (and vice versa.) Note that a .Smif file can be imported in NORSAR-3D to generate 2.5 D models.
-
Dump a NORSAR-2D model to an external format
Use the NORSAR-2D Model Scanner:
NORSAR-2D Console: File->Export->Model Scanner...
You select a velocity type and grid-geometry and store the result as file <fileName>.Sgrd under the modelling section directory.
There are two FORTRAN subroutines in the NORSAR-2D installation that can read this format:- smgarw.f - Reads velocity grid into a 1D array.
- smmsrw.f - Reads velocity grid into a 2D array.
The source code for these functions are stored in <N2D installation>/aux/source/

Import stacking velocity function
Stacking velocity functions are imported into the Velocity Estimator from an .Stab file. The file format is described in the chapter Technical Guide in the NORSAR-2D User's Guide.
If there are problems in reading the file, check the following:- Leading blanks are NOT allowed in the header and comment records.
- There must be no blank records in the file.
The message in case of syntax errors may be misleading.
